Seattle Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor

 

I’ve been playing sports my whole life. In college, tired of being pushed around on the basketball court, I started lifting weights. While I quickly fell in love with working out and strengthening my body, it also became clear that so much of what we are taught about exercise is outdated or contradictory, and that there is so much more to fitness than just going to the gym and lifting the heaviest weights we can.

 

Since then, I have tried to absorb every piece of information I can about fitness science, nutrition, and health. I have experimented with new workout programs and diets, from 4-Hour Body to the Conjugate Method, using myself as a guinea pig. The more I learned, the more I wanted to share it with other people.

 

Today, I am a National Academy of Sports Medicine-Certified Personal Trainer. Employed at the Greater Seattle YMCA, I do personal training with individuals and small groups, and lead group fitness classes that average more than 20 participants. I have trained professional athletes, hardcore gym rats, fitness first-timers, and everyone in between!

 

Now, through Rain City Fit, I am bringing my knowledge and passion to my clients through boot camps and personal training sessions. Whether you’ve never set foot in a gym before and just want to look and feel better, or you’re a dedicated athlete seeking to improve your triathlon time or bust through plateaus in the gym, I can help. I will listen to your fitness goals and develop a unique program tailored to you!
